Zoe Saldana (born June 19 in 1978) was the daughter of Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana in Passaic New Jersey. Her father was Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. She was born in Queens. After she turned 10 years old, young her family and she were relocated to the Dominican Republic, where they lived for the next seven years. Zoe began to develop a fascination for dance performance while living in the Dominican Republic. She began training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was able to study dance and various forms of dancing.
