Walker was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has African American heritage and is an American national. She is the child of Harvey Welker, a Native American Father and Julie Welker, an African American mother. Her mother works as a real estate agent and her father works as an engineer. Walker graduated from Germantown Friends School situated within Philadelphia's Germantown district in 1994. She attended Harvard College, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree. Welker is since the age of 20 with John Hughes who is a famous marketing director at Merck Philadelphia. They are parents to two children. In 2014 they began having an affair with one other. John the husband of John is four years younger than John. They decided to take their relationship to a new step because everything was going so well. The 4th of March 2017 was the day that they tied the knot. The wedding took place in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. The wedding was huge held at the Hyatt hotel.
