Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor, director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories of attending rehearsals for play as well as watching her mother's work. Early on Anna appeared in a number of television commercials. Anna moved in Toronto for her acting to develop. In the following years, she was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. The couple got engaged. Anna was recently converted to Judaism and married Seth Cooperman in Fredericton.
