Summer Glau
The first time she appeared on television was as a guest ballerina in the 2002 episode of the TV show Angel. In the episode, she caught the eye of director Joss Whedon, who later was cast in his critically acclaimed but short-lived TV show Firefly as River Tam, a role she reprised for the feature film sequel to the show Serenity. Glau was previously auditioned for the Power Ranger role (White Wild Force Ranger, Alyssa Erile) in Power Rangers Wild Force. She was ultimately defeated by Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon. She played Shelly, the high school senior in Sleepover. She also appeared in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" " in season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the boyfriend of Jeremy Erhart). Glau was the paranoid schizophrenia returnee Tess Doerner in season 2 of The 4400. She became an established character in season 3 and beyond. Mammoth was also her horror comedy character. Glau was also part of ABC Family TV's film The Initiation of Sarah. Glau played Cameron Phillips in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The series first aired on January 13 and 13 January 2008. The series' seventh episode, "The Demon Hand", featured scenes in which Glau (as Cameron) dances ballet. Glau also played Allison Young (Cameron’s human doppelganger ) in the second season episodes, "Allison of Palmdale" and"Born To Run". Glau was also a guest on herself in the 2009 episode of the CBS situation comedy The Big Bang Theory
